ARTIST

Wayne Jaworek

Growing up the youngest of three, Wayne was influenced by art his entire life. His grade school days were spent drawing cartoons and comic strips in his school notebooks. Not seeing art as a future for himself, he came to college with the intention of becoming a computer programmer. But art was still in his heart as he openly tried to pursue a minor in drawing. Shortly after his first round of classes for the minor, Wayne withdrew himself from the computer science department and dove deep into the world of art. As a stranger to art though, he studied its many periods through the ages and into the modern contemporary era.

At the recommendation of a friend, Wayne steered his education into the Time Arts BFA porgram at Northern Illinois University. He found a quick liking to video art among the many mediums he studied and began to turn his attention to that. In his last year In the program he was introduced to a new art form which peaked his imagination and stole his heart from video. 3D animation became a natural part of his daily studies, along side video art.

In this final hour before graduation Wayne has turned his focus to understanding life and exploring new artistic mediums including video and interactive art, as potential careers for the future. The piece showing here is a result of his studies of life artwork, which focus on elements of humanity. In particular, this piece breaks down Genesis Chapter 1: God's creation of the Earth. This work is directed at critical analysis of the story and it's varied and often wildly differing explanations of creation and life itself.

After graduating Wayne wishes to continue his work as a film/video editor and special effects artist in the Chicagoland area. His current position as an intern at Infinite Video Productions of Batavia, Illinois has given him experience in real life situations and editing techniques, that complement his prior experience as the Lake County cable access channel, video graphics intern.
